About Barış Sarıalioğlu
Baris is an IT professional with 20+ years of experience as Consultant and Software Engineer for many different organizations. He is highly experienced in Digital Transformation, Agility, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), User Experience (UX), Design Thinking, Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
Baris has diverse experience spanning several industries including; telecommunications, banking and finance, defense, aviation, and semiconductor manufacturing. He has been involved in several challenging projects and had the chance to work in several different countries, including Turkey, the United States, Russia, Germany, China, The Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Greece.
He has published a number of papers and books within the Software Engineering profession and contribute to the field by regularly attending conferences as a public speaker. Has spoken at more than 100 international conferences in more than 40 countries.

Why Is Test Automation Still Manual and How Can We Make It Really Automated?
The biggest advantage of automation testing over manual testing is that it allows you to do more testing in less time. But, is it really the case? We expect it to increase productivity and save us manual efforts. Do we really achieve these levels of productivity and efficiency? While automated testing has advanced significantly over time with its ability to handle sophisticated testing, still more than 90% of any test automation process or activity is manual! In this session, Baris will be discussing how we can really make test automation automated, and in this way, we will be spending more time talking about testing rather than talking about software development. We will learn, how can we make use of AI and Machine Learning in this process, and ultimately focus more on testing rather than development.
