About Imma Valls

I’m a Community Support Engineer at (Grafana Labs) where I enjoy helping developers make the most out of the Grafana stack.

In my past life, I worked as a consultant, trainer and support engineer @elastic. I’ve always loved automating stuff, anything that helps to get from development to production.

I enjoy sharing with the community, and you can find me co-organising Grafana’s meetups in Barcelona and Madrid. And also volunteering at the annual Barcelona Software Crafters conference and organizing crafter meetups.

I also volunteer at Migracode CodeWomen as a coach.

I’m a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. Look for me at one of his concerts. No surrender!

Shift Left Performance with Lean Tools and Browser Automations

Talk description

In this talk, Imma explores the importance of enabling and implementing testing as early as possible in the development lifecycle.

The “test early and often” approach ensures that high-quality software meets performance expectations. You will get a demonstration of integrating lean and efficient tools with GitLab CI/CD to streamline the quality processes and assure the delivery of high-performing software.

Join us for lots of knowledge, best practices, and a live demo to learn how to leverage lean testing tools to shift left and improve the performance and quality of your applications.

3 key takeaways:

    • Understanding the importance of the “test early and often” in the development lifecycle applied to performance testing.
    • Best practices for integrating performance testing early in the development process (CI/CD integration).
    • A repo with the live demo using GitLab CI/CD and k6 browser, so attendees can reproduce locally.
