About Joel montvelisky

Joel is a co-founder, Chief Solution Architect and Head of Quality for PractiTest, out of Israel.  He has been in testing since 1998, working as a tester, test manager, director, consultant, speaker and podcaster.  Joel believes in projects to help elevate the testing community worldwide, and this is why he is the chair of the OnlineTestConf (www.onlinetestconf.com) and why he has been running the State of Testing project  together with Lalitkumar Bhamare since 2013 (https://qablog.practitest.com/state-of-testing/).

Fun fact: During the Covid stay-at-home period Joel decided to keep busy by teaching himself to play the guitar together with his 9 year-old daughter Alma.

Speech title:

5 Quality Assurance trends to keep. Even when we get back to the New Normal

About his speech:

Everyone of us changed the way we work (and the way we live) because we had to adapt to the Covid Pandemic. This was not easy and not necessarily nice, but humans adapt and this is what we did. Still, some of these changes have resulted in positive outcomes regardless of the pandemic and these are things we want to maintain even when we are “back to normal”.
The talk is for Managers and Testers who want to continue improving their work practices by learning about approaches and methodologies they could be using in their own teams.
What will I learn from it? How we can continue using practices such as remote work, informal-online-communication, and around-the-world testing as part of our regular approaches; as well as how to look for additional practices that you may want to implement in order to improve your testing practice.
