Speech title

Brewing with Quality

Talk description

Testers all around the world have all sorts of different hobbies. Some like to learn more languages. Others learn how to fly an airplane. Some may do some sports. But there’s one hobby that’s really popular in the state of Missouri: brewing your own beer at home! Péter will show the parallels between brewing and quality engineering. Everyone will be surprised to see how much these activities look the same from a process point of view! The audience will learn how to brew a beer, and along the way they might learn something new about testing as well. And hopefully, everyone will have some fun, too! Péter will also tell a story how testing helped him produce better beers, and eventually doing better at local brew contests.
3 takeaways:
  • A tester’s mindset helps being better in your hobbies
  • Your hobbies can help you think outside the box
  • It’s okay to make mistakes, they help you improve and evolve
